The Lovely Bones (2009) dir. Peter Jackson

This film deals with a young girls murder, after her death she is left in purgatory with the other victims of her murderer, instead of this being a horrible place, it is a beautiful endless garden with the choice to go to heaven whenever she's ready. Comparing this to the catholic purgatory it seems like heaven in itself, it was interesting to get a different perspective or view of the afterlife.
